Based on our both acquired experience and a specific research which has taken 3 years,supported by laboratory simulations and by performance inspections in very important textile companies,we have come up with the“PRE-SHRINKING RUBBER BELT".
Its main features are:
a) A particular type of rubber that shows a"gummy" surface with major friction upon fabric assuring a higher shrinkage if compared with current articles on the market under the
same parameters.Both its elasticity and high temperature resistance allow it to prolong the gaps of the surface grindings;
b) The constant hardness and other mechanical features during the use of the belt guarantee an optimum shrinking action through time;

INDICATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR A CORRECT PURCHASE
RUBBER BELT WIDTH
To determine a proper belt width (A) we suggest starting from the widest measure of fabric to be shrunk (T), adding 150mm of overall edge type distance(B), adding also the profile width from the edge (S) (ABC could vary from 12 to 50 mm); and in this way you have the correct rubber belt width to purchase.
It is advisable to have a minimum distance of belt from cylinder edge of 25-30 mm at least,considering its natural swinging.

RUBBER BELT HARDNESS
The standard hardness is 38 SH.
The type of rubber allows shrinking both on the heaviest denim fabric and on those more delicate ones with excellent results.
Depending on customers needs,a 'soft'version can be supplied with 34 SH.
RUBBER BELT EDGES
There are 3 types of rubber belt edges as following

inclined
very inclined
Normally,the most guaranteed edge is A) type.However,
considering our customers' experiences and needs,we are at your complete disposal to manufacture any kind of belt edges.
The most important point is the reset of the roundness edge after a grinding operation.

INSTALLATION
Prior to installing the new rubber belt,some points must be verified as following:
1) Accurate cleaning of water spray holes;
2) Check on bearing cylinders in charge of rubber belt rotation;
3) Cleaning of both the heated cylinder and all other cylinders of the machine;
4) The cylinders must be in perfect parallelism.
The appropriate centring is obtained by the tension cylinder;
5) The tension of the rubber belt must be done considering the sign on both edges
of the belt and its stretching, always according to the following specifications:
Thickness rubber belt 67 mm from 300 up to 307
Thickness rubber belt 51 mm from 300 up to 312
6) As soon as the new rubber belt is inserted,all points in the machine that could mark or damage the rubber must be checked and covered immediately;
7) The rubber belt centring must be rechecked after the heating procedure system is completely efficient (rubber belt-heated cylinder);
8) Check the efficiency of the felt that touches the rubber belt surface, which must result totally uniform;
9) Check the sliding of the cylinders for water wringing as well as their parallelism regarding the rubber belt and finally the pressure which must not be excessive(the machine manufacturer data must be verified);
10) Check the sliding of the security cylinders that work at the edges of the rubber belt.
An accurate regulation of the cylinders and of the rubber belt should provide only a light graze of the rubber belt upon the cylinders. An excessive pressure of the rubber belt upon the rolls could damage the rubber belt itself.
COMPRESSION
Rubber belt compression is a very important and delicate point.
An excessive rubber belt compression determines not always a satisfactory shrinkage,on the contrary there is a reduction of its useful life time.
In order to have an optimum commitment of its performance,we recommend not to exceed 20%
of compression,which corresponds to 13,5mm on 67 mm rubber belt thickness.
Reducing the rubber belt thickness it would be opportune to proportionally reduce in compression centimetres.
SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
Frequent checking the belt prolongs its useful life time.
Investing few minutes at the end of the shift 1n order to check on the intactness of the rubber belt represents the best results for a great and long function and reassures a high quality standard fabric.
1) Check the heated cylinder specially on its edges where the fabric could store some remains that may damage the rubber belt surface;
2) Check eventual presence of small cuts on the surface that must be removed by grinding Should some cuts appear on edges,it will be necessary to re-establish the continuity of edges grinding and rounding accurately;
3) Check the cooling water nozzles that must be always at the best efficiency;
4) Provide continuous grinding due to type of fabric to assure the surface integrity;

Furthermore it is extremely important that the machine manufacturer provides assistance as they have first-hand knowledge about the performance and functioning of the machines.
RUBBER BELT GRINDING
This procedure is executed in order to renew the surface,to assure an optimum shrinkage and to eliminate any possible small cut on the surface.
To accomplish it,we recommend a suitable grain cloth and an abundant quantity of talcum powder.
Even the edges have a great important function.
The roundness of the edges eliminates the diffusion of eventual cuts.Therefore,it is important that the exact profile of the upper top belt is renewed with an abrasive disk after some grindings.
After each surface and edges grindings,you should clean the rubber belt,the cylinders and the impure water tank that could compromise the well functioning of the machine.
PACKAGING-SHIPPING
According to FAO-IPPC-ISPMI 15 rules,the Extra EEC shipment by air of by sea foresees a special packaging.
The dimension and structure of this box allows a secure shipping.
We strongly recommend a particular attention at the moment you have to take the belt out of its box using a tube as an instrument to raise it up. Also you should pay attention with the screws placed on the box lid and everything else could damage the rubber belt.
Pull the polyethylene out carefully not using any sort of blades that could cut the belt.
Store the be It in the coldest place as possible and keep it away from hydrocarbons contamination in both liquid and gas forms.
The belt can be stored for a long time (l-2 years).For a longer storage,it is advisable to check on the integrity of the surface's edges and also on its hardness.
